Description:

Local Home Services is seeking skilled and reliable Appliance Repair Technicians to join our expanding team in Kelowna, BC! In this role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of household appliances in customers’ homes. You will provide excellent customer service while ensuring efficient and high-quality repairs.

Location:

Responsibilities:

• Visit customer homes to diagnose appliance problems using diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Repair a variety of major household appliances, including refrigerators, ovens, dishwashers, washing machines, dryers, and more.
• Replace faulty parts and ensure the proper functionality of repaired appliances.
• Provide clear explanations to customers about the repairs completed and any recommendations for future maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance while working in customer homes.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of service calls and completed repairs in our mobile app.
• May also assist with the installation of new appliances (depending on company offerings).

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in appliance repair.
• Own tools (Sealed systems and gas are optional).
• Strong understanding of how major household appliances function and their common malfunctions.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing a variety of appliance brands and models.
• Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Optional: Certifications from a trade school or manufacturer training programs.
